Welcome to our journey through foster care.

We started the journey in January of 2017. This is us with our first packet from OKDHS!

We lived in Faxon, OK at the time, and saw no changed–other than kiddos–in our near future.

Insert a hubby who was itching for change, and a new opportunity. A yearn to be in between our families, and the ability to make that happen and…

BOOM.

We moved to central Oklahoma! Mr. W got a new job. A bigger job. A busier job!

With our move, came a change in DHS offices. This is where we had some trouble. We weren’t getting the help we needed, and along came our agency! Like a bright neon sign (almost literally) saying “Pick us! Here we are!” A story of foster care was featured at church one Saturday!

We decided to check it out, and had our pre-certification interview. We instantly fell in love with the agency and all of the workers! We all clicked, and they offer so much support for our family.

Fast forward 3 months, and here we are! Oklahoma Foster Parents!
